Browser Extension Privacy Policy

MySSAgent

Last updated: July 8, 2026

The MySSAgent browser extension helps you send your own Social Security earnings statement from the Social Security Administration's website (secure.ssa.gov) to your own MySSAgent account. This policy explains exactly what it does with your data. For how the MySSAgent platform itself handles your information, see our main Privacy Policy.

What the extension accesses

When you are signed in to your my Social Security account and viewing your Statement, the extension reads that statement in your browser. It extracts only:

  • your earnings for each year (the year and the amount),
  • Social Security's own estimated monthly benefit amounts, and
  • your date of birth and Full Retirement Age.

What is sent, and where

Those fields — and only those fields — are sent to MySSAgent's secure backend (https://edjwxxefxuzdfwjnxjhb.supabase.co/functions/v1/extension-xml-ingest) to populate your MySSAgent analysis. The transfer is authorized by a credential tied to your signed-in MySSAgent account.

What is never collected or sent

  • Your Social Security number, name, address, or employer information. (Your statement file does not contain these, and the extension transmits only the fixed list of fields above.)
  • Your statement file itself. It is read in memory in your browser and is never downloaded to your computer or uploaded as a file.
  • Your browsing history, location, or activity on any other site.

Storage

The extension stores a single credential locally in your browser (via Chrome's storage) to link it to your MySSAgent account. It is removed when you sign out of MySSAgent. No data is stored by the extension on any server other than the MySSAgent account data described above.

Sharing

Your data is sent only to your own MySSAgent account. It is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties or used for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to your Social Security analysis.
