For independent Medicare brokers

Commissions are capped. Your book is not captive.

The clients you enroll at 65 are making a permanent Social Security decision that same year — and they're asking you.

Answer it, charge for it, and do it in the months when enrollment goes quiet.

Transcript

The walkthrough is silent; its captions are on screen. It runs about two minutes.

It opens on the advisor dashboard and the client pipeline, opens a completed analysis, and shows the recommended strategy with the dollar page: every claiming age from 62 to 70 with the monthly, annual and lifetime figures. It compares two claiming ages, charts total money received over time, then shows break-even, longevity and spousal coordination, and the survivor line.

The second half is the client side: the client signs in to ssa.gov, clicks once, and the earnings record arrives — no Social Security number, no download, no re-upload.

Product walkthrough · about two minutes · silent, captioned on screen. Over 11,000 Americans turn 65 every day through 2027.

What you can show a client in the appointment

One click, no SSN

The client signs in to their own ssa.gov and clicks once. The extension sends the earnings record — never the number.

Every month, 62 to 70

Computed in code against the real record, so the same record always gives the same result. Model the dollar page in the meeting, then send them home with a summary report.

The survivor gap, on screen

What the household keeps when one check stops. Sized, not guessed.

Built with one of you

A Medicare-and-annuity producer is one of our paying advisor clients.

Three steps, one appointment

The client clicks once on ssa.gov.

The record arrives; nothing else does.

Every claiming month from 62 to 70 runs against it.

About a minute, computed in code.

You model the dollar page in the meeting.

A separate advisory service, billed as one — and a summary report to take home.

What it pays

Carriers set your Medicare commissions inside a federal ceiling. Social Security advice is not Medicare work, so no commission schedule caps what you charge for it.

$1,990

Professional, 25 households a year — about $80 each.

analyses billed at the published floor of $400, and the license is paid for.

$10,000

if you bill all 25 at $400. On a $1,990 license.

Folding it in free instead? You are buying a reason to talk to every client before, during and after AEP, at about $80 a household.

Analysis fees are the range RSSAs publish, which starts at $400 (rssa.com). The commission ceiling is 42 CFR 422.2274. The arithmetic is ours and checkable.

What IRMAA is, and why the timing is the whole point

With the household’s expected income, the analysis places them against the IRMAA thresholds and shows how much room is left before the next one.

Modified Adjusted Gross Income

For IRMAA, adjusted gross income — line 11 of IRS Form 1040 — plus tax-exempt interest, line 2a. Those two lines, nothing else.

Which year sets the premium

Generally the return from two years earlier, because that is the most recent information the IRS can supply, and never more than three years back. 2026 premiums are generally set from the 2024 return.

This is the part that pays your client. The return being filed this spring sets a 2028 premium, so it is still movable — and it stops being movable the moment it is filed.

Where the surcharge starts

In 2026, above $218,000 for married filing jointly and $109,000 for every other filing status. Past that, the premium rises on a sliding scale.

Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount

An addition to the Part B and prescription-drug premiums for beneficiaries whose MAGI is above the threshold. Its authority is section 1839(i) of the Social Security Act and 20 CFR 418.

A claiming date changes MAGI. Delaying usually means drawing from somewhere else in the bridge years, and that is what lands on line 11. The tier is not a separate topic from the claiming decision. It is the decision, priced.

Compared with how it happens today

SSA confirms eligibility and estimates; its staff stay neutral on the claiming decision itself.

Who this is not for

Carrier employees. Anyone who wants software to pick a Medicare plan — it never will. Anyone expecting the tool to touch an enrollment.

The five things brokers ask first

"My compliance / carrier / FMO won't allow it."

This is a separate advisory service — not Medicare marketing, not a plan comparison, and it never touches an enrollment. You clear your own materials exactly as you do now; we'll walk your compliance people through the construction.

"I'm not a Social Security expert."

You don't have to become one. Run the routine cases yourself; send the divorce, survivor and still-working cases to a credentialed Registered Social Security Analyst® — an option you exercise, priced per case.

"My clients won't hand over their SSA login."

They don't. The client signs in to their own ssa.gov account and clicks once; the extension sends the earnings record — never the SSN, name or address — and grants nothing permanent.

"I can't sell in the off-season anyway."

Enrollment slows to aging-in and special enrollment from April to September — your book is sitting there the whole time. This is what you sell it in those months.

"Is it accurate? I have to explain it."

The record is the client's official 35-year earnings history, not a self-reported estimate, and the math is computed in code, so the same record always gives the same result. The report is built to send home with the client.
